The purpose of this book is to provide the busy doctor managing women health with a quick and easy guide in the diagnosis and treatment of common gynaecological conditions. It is directed towards those with some basic knowledge in gynaecology. For the busy clinicians in the wards and the out-patient clinics, time is of the essence and a simpler reference book on diagnosis and management may be useful. Topics in this book are written in the ‘short notes’ format, and considerable emphasis is placed on clinical algorithms, bulleted lists and flowcharts whenever possible for easy reference. A treatment summary in a box format is also given at the end of each chapter. Therefore, this book is ideal for those seeking a well organized and easy to read management guide in gynaecology, such as general practitioners, house-officers, medical officers and gynaecologists. It may also be useful for senior medical students and post-graduate trainees in gynaecology who require a quick review in preparation for their final examination. For other health care professionals, the information and treatment protocols outlined here will be helpful when answering patient queries and concerns. The last chapter discusses the morbidity and mortality associated with common gynaecological operations and may be of use for counseling purposes.

Read about the purpose of this ebook here……..
The primary intent of this ebook is to provide the busy doctor with a simple but adequate management guide in treatment of various medical emergencies. This ebook is not meant to compete with other much better emergency medicine guides, but to ensure that the doctors encountering medical emergencies will have at least a simple, quick, and adequate guidebook to enable them to manage their patient safely. There are numerous excellent medical textbooks out there, but these will become useless if one has no access to them to guide them managed their patient in the ward at 2 o‘clock in the morning. If you have a phone, you will be able to access it anytime and anywhere. We do not expect everyone to agree with the recommendations presented here. Such a disagreement is unavoidable, for medicine is not an exact science. Ultimately, we hope that this book will benefit our patients and ensure that they get the best care possible.
