About me

The author obtained his M.B.B.S from University Malaya in 1989. He passed the Master in Ob/Gyn from University Malaya and the MRCOG in U.K in 1996 and was posted to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan Kuantan as the clinical specialist. While he was in Kuantan, he held the post of Chairman of the Family Planning Association of Pahang for several years. In 1999, he was sent by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to undergo the Reproductive Health and Family Planning Technical Services training in Shanghai. He was later transferred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur in 2003 and was appointed as the Director of the Reproductive Unit. He was involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the local University for many years. He was appointed Honorary Lecturer in the Medical Faculty of the International Islamic University and University Putra Malaysia. He was also the supervisor for the postgraduate students who were preparing for their Master in Ob/Gyn and MRCOG Membership examinations. He left the Ministry of Health in November 2005 and joined a private hospital as the Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He was conferred the Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRCOG), United Kingdom in 2008. He recently published a book titled “Quick Management Guide in Gynaecology” in April 2007. This book is intended for general practitioners, house-officers, medical officers and trainees in gynaecology.
